QLD: Ironman injured in fall from bike

Gold Coast ironman champion GUY ANDREWS has been injured in a road accident.

Police say Mr ANDREWS broke his collar bone and thumb when he fell from his bicycle
at Mermaid Beach yesterday afternoon.

They say another rider was performing tricks on his BMX bike and lost control just
as Mr ANDREWS was passing.

The BMX bike rider wasn't badly injured in the collision.
