May 22--Dubai, Singapore and Hong Kong led the way as the best airports in the Asia-Pacific and Middle East region in a passenger satisfaction survey released by the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
Dubai was rated the "top-of-the-class" airport for overall passenger satisfaction in 2002 out of the 51 surveyed, based on responses from business and leisure travellers, closely followed by Singapore's Changi Airport and Chek Lap Kok in Hong Kong.
Bangkok's ageing Don Muang airport was nowhere to be seen in the top ranks of IATA's Global Airport Monitor.
